Warning Against the Fitnah of Takfeer By the Muhadith, Allama, Ash-Shaykh Muhammad Nasir ud-Deen al-Albaani. PART 3

The Relationship between Takfeer & Rebellion

From the general matters which are beneficial to mention and narrate: I met some of those who used to be from Jamaaat al- Takfeer then Allaah Azza wa Jaal guided them. I said to them: here you call some of the rulers kuffar, so what do you think, for example of making the imams of masaajid kuffar, and those who give the khutbah, and those who give the adhaan in the masaajid, and those who render service to the masaajid?! What do you think abou

t making Takfeer of the teachers of the knowledge of the Sharia' in schools, and other places, for example?

They said: they are kuffar because they are pleased with the rule of the rulers who judge without what Allaah has revealed!!!

I said to them: If this 'being pleased' was in agreement with the heart (i.e. belief), judging without what Allaah has revealed, then the kufr of action is altered to the kufr of belief. So, any ruler, who rules without what Allaah has revealed, and sees and believes that this ruling, is the appropriate ruling to be applied in this time! And that the ruling of the Sharia' from the text of the Book and Sunnah is not appropriate to be applied, then there is no doubt that this kufr of this ruler is the kufr of belief and is not the kufr of action alone, and

whoever is pleased with this, and believes it, then he also falls into the same group.

Then I said to them: Firstly, it is not possible for you to make a judgment upon every ruler who rules with the western kufr laws or with even some of them, and that if they were questioned about judging with other than what Allaah has revealed?! They would answer; that ruling with these rules is the truth and correct in this time! And it is not allowed to rule with the rules of Islaam!!

Otherwise, if they say this, they would – truly- become kuffar without doubt or suspicion!

Then, if we came down to the people who are ruled, and from amongst them there are the scholars, amongst them are the righteous people etc. So how can you judge upon them with kufr just because you see them living under the rule, which includes them just as it includes you exactly! But you declare them to be kuffar, and apostates and that ruling with what Allaah has revealed is obligatory! Then you make an excuse for yourselves and contradict yourselves:

that differing with the judgments of the Sharia' with mere actions does not deem necessarily the ruling on the one who differs with the Sharia' that he is an apostate from his Deen!

This is exactly what the people other than you are saying, whether you accuse them – wrongly – with the ruling of Takfeer and apostasy!!!

And from amongst the general discussions which show their mistakes and uncover their deviation, is saying to them:

When is a judgment given upon a Muslim that he has apostated from his Deen?

A Muslim who testifies that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah, and perhaps he prays. Is it sufficient just one time? Or is it obligatory to be announced that he has apostated from the Deen?

They would not know the answer! They will not be guided to the truth!! So we are forced to give them the following example; we say to them:

A judge, judges with the Sharia'; this is his usual practice and this is his system, but in one judgment he misjudged, and gave a judgment against the Sharia', i.e. he gave the right to the oppressor and prohibited it from the oppressed, so this is – most certainly - judging without what Allaah has revealed! So do you say that his kufr is the kufr of apostasy?

They will say: No, because this happened to him one time. We say: What if the same judgment was issued from him a second time or a different judgment in which he also differed with the Sharia', so has he committed kufr?

Then we repeat this to them: he does this 'three times!' or 'Four times!' when do you say that he has committed kufr? It is not possible for them to place a limit on the number of his judgments in which he has gone against the Sharia', by which he can be declared a kaafir!!

The opposite of this is completely possible if it is known from him that he, in his first judgment deemed it correct to judge without what Allaah has revealed,

- believing it is permissible to do so - and disapproved of judging with the Sharia', then it would be correct to judge him with apostasy, even for this first judgment!

Contrary to this, if we saw several judgments from him in a number of decisions in which he went against the Sharia', and if we were to ask him why did you judge without what Allaah has revealed?

He would reply saying: I was frightened and afraid for myself! Or I was bribed for example and that is worse than the first example, but along with this, it is

not possible to say he is a kaafir until he declares what is in his heart, that he does hold the view of judging without what Allaah Azza wa Jaal has revealed, and only then is it possible to say that he is a kaafir, the kufr of apostasy.

A summary of the speech: it is necessary to know that kufr, like fisq(sinning) and oppression is divided into two types:

- Kufr and fisq and oppression which places one outside the Ummah, and all of these return to making it permissible by the heart.

- The other does not place one outside of the Ummah; and all of these return to making it permissible by actions.

Bid’ah (Innovation)* Part 2

THE DANGERS  OF BID'AH AND THEIR EVIL EFFECT

* Bid’ah is a pre-cursor to disbelief.

* Making unfounded statements on

behalf of Allaah.

* Correcting the Prophet.      sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam or      claiming that he had deficiencies.

* Dividing the Muslim nation.

* Abandoning the Sunnah.

* Igniting disputes among the Muslims.

* Accusing the Prophet of not completely conveying the message of Islaam.

* Competing with the Prophets in their prophethood.

* Altering the religion.

Bid’ah (Innovation)* Part 1 By Akuvada Abdulmalik Al-Eikawee

 The Islamic definition of Bid’ah

**Imaam Ash-Shaafi’i* , may Allaah have mercy upon him, said: “A Bid’ah is anything that has no basis in the Qur’aan and Sunnah or sayings of any of the companions.”

Warning Against the Fitnah of Takfeer By the Muhadith, Allama, Ash-Shaykh Muhammad Nasir ud-Deen al-Albaani. PART 2

 A Kufr less than Kufr

Now we return to this Ayah:

<<. . . and whosoever does not judge with what Allaah has revealed so they are the kaafiroon.>>

So what is the intent of the word (al-kufr ) here? Does it take one outside of the Muslim Ummah or does it mean something else?

I say: It is necessary to have precision in understanding this Ayah. The Ayah could mean the kufr of action and that is leaving off some of the actions from the rulings of Islaam. In addition, what helps us in this understanding is the scholar of the Ummah and the interpreter of the Qur’aan, Abdullah bin Abbas -may Allaah be pleased with him. He was from the Companions that all Muslims are in agreement – except those who are from the deviant sects – that he is an Imaam In tafseer.

It is as if he heard in those days, the likes of what we hear today exactly, that there are people who understand the Aayaat on its apparent meaning without its explanation. Ibn Abbas - may Allaah be please with him - said: “It is not the kufr which you understand to mean, indeed it is not the kufr which takes you outside the fold of the Ummah, it is a kufr less than kufr.”

VANITY OF LIFE.....(The Story of an Ant and the Rich Man)

VANITY OF LIFE.....

One Sunday morning, a wealthy man sat in his balcony enjoying the sunshine and his coffee when a little ant caught his eye; going from one side to the other side of the balcony, carrying a big leaf several times more than its size.

The man watched it for more than an hour. He saw that the ant faced many impediments during its journey, paused, took a diversion and then continued towards its destination.

At one point the tiny creature came across a crack in the floor. It paused for a little while, analyzed and then laid the huge leaf over the crack, walked over the leaf, picked the leaf on the other side then continued its journey.

The man was captivated by the cleverness of the ant, one of God’s tiniest creatures.

The incident left the man in awe and forced him to contemplate over the miracle of Creation. It showed the greatness of the Creator.

Before his very eyes was this tiny creature of God, lacking in size yet equipped with a brain to analyze, contemplate, reason, explore, discover and overcome.

Along with all these capabilities, the man also noticed that this tiny creature shared some human shortcomings.

The man saw about an hour later that the creature had reached its destination – a tiny hole in the floor which was entrance to its underground dwelling.

At this point the ant’s shortcoming that it shared with man was revealed.

How could the ant carry the large leaf it carefully managed to its destination into the tiny hole? It simply couldn’t!

So the tiny creature, after all the painstaking and hard work and exercising great skills, overcoming all the difficulties along the way, just left behind the large leaf and went home empty-handed.

The ant had not thought about the end before it began its challenging journey and in the end the large leaf was nothing more than a burden to it.

The creature had no option, but to leave it behind, to reach its destination.

The man learned a great lesson that day. Isn’t that the truth about our lives?

We worry about our family,

We worry about our job,

We worry about how to earn more money,

We worry about where we should live – 5 bedroom or 6 bedroom house.

What kind of vehicle to buy – a Mercedes or Honda or BMW or a Porsche?

What kind of dress to wear?

All sorts of things, only to abandon all these things when we reach the entrance to our destination – {THE GRAVE} when we realize we cannot enter our destination with all these things.

We don’t realize in our life’s journey that these are just burdens that we are carrying with utmost care and fear of losing them, only to find that at the end, they are useless and we can’t take them with us.

The ONLY TREASURE that lasts FOREVER is; OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR CREATOR - ALLAH.

So ask yourself, "AM I USING MY WHOLE LIFE TO SERVE HIM, AND MAINTAIN A RELATIONSHIP with men.

May Allah guide us all and remove from our hearts the excessive love we have for this world, position and materials Ameen!!

Ascription to Naqshbandeeyah

‘This Tareeqa (way) ascribes itself to Muhammad Baha-uddeen Shah Naqshband. The ascription for this

Tareeqa[38] is from his name and it has became known with that. He was born in the village of Bukhara

(717 – 791 A.H)’ ‘He was given the title of Naqshband because of a print of the word ‘Allaah’ engraved upon the front of his heart, due to a lot of remembrance of Allaah.

It has been said he was called Naqshband, because the Messenger of Allaah -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam-placed his noble palm on the heart of shaykh Muhammad Baha-uddeen al-Awaysee Naqshband, so it became engraved on his heart.’ ‘Ahmad al-Farooqi as-Sarhindi (1034 A.H.) revived and spread the Tareeqa in India.’[39]

O Mus'ab😢😢😢😢

_______________________________

Aboo ‘AbdilLaah Mus’ab bn ‘Umayr: The first Ambassador of Islām

Mus’ab bn ‘Umayr was one of the youth of Makkah and was among the earliest reverts to Islām. He was described as the most charming and most handsome youth in Makkah; the talk of ladies and flower of the Quraysh. His mother was خناس بنت مالك Khunnaas Bint Malik. She was one of the wealthiest people in Makkah and she showered and pampered him with her wealth and luxuries. She was described as a woman of steel and gargantuan personality.

Mus’ab feared his mother so much. Even when he accepted Islām, he could not manifest it out of his extreme reverence for and awe of his mother. It is reported that Mus’ab said that:

لم يكن يخاف أحداً، ولا يخشى أحداً, ولا يحسب حساب أحدٍ إلا أمه، كيف سيواجه أمه بإسلامه؟

“He does not fear anyone more than his mother. How will he declare his acceptance of Islām to her?”

So, Mus’ab concealed his faith and would sneak out of the house to meet the Prophet and his disciples in the house of Al-Arqam bn Abee Al-Arqam where they used to gather to pray clandestinely. Mus’ab was happy that he was able to keep his faith away from his mother, lest she persecuted him like other parents were doing with their children.

However, this secret was not to last longer. One day, a man named ‘Uthmaan bn Talhah saw him going into the house of Al-Arqam and he immediately went to Mus’ab’s mother to report the incident to her. When Mus’ab returned home later that day, she summoned him in front of his uncles and some prominent chiefs of Makkah and asked him, “Have you accepted the religion of Muhammad?” Mus’ab knew that the game was up and his little secret has been exposed. There was no need for panic or denial. He looked them straight in the eye and replied, “Yes, I have.” Then, he started reciting some verses of the Qur’an.

His mother became extremely enraged that she attempted to hit him in the face. Mus’ab’s confidence grew, he continued his beautiful recitation to the shock and consternation of the chiefs of Quraysh. What has come over him? They wondered. Khunnaas was lost in thought. This was not the handsome and charming Mus’ab that she used to know. Muhammad has “brainwashed” and probably bewitched her son, she thought. She concluded that the only way to stop him from becoming one of Muhammad’s followers was to put him under house arrest.

Mus’ab was locked up inside a room on the order of his mother. He was cut off from the Prophet’s company. He cried and cried for days until his eye became swollen. Then one day, information reached him that the Prophet has ordered th Muslims to migrate to Abyssinia. Mus’ab managed to delude the guards by the door and escape to Abyssinia with his colleagues. Later, he returned to Makkah following a rumor that it was now safe for the faithful to live in Makkah. When Mus’ab returned to Makkah, his mother tried to convince him to abandon Islām to no avail. So, she plotted to have him shackled and imprisoned for a second time but Mus’ab resisted it violently. Having lost all hopes of convincing her son to denounce Islām, she took the extreme and only, option left for her; withholding of her wealth from him.

For the sake of Islām, Mus’ab lost his mother’s affection and wealth. She disowned him. She said, “Go away, I am no longer your mother!” Mus'ab went close to her and said,

"O Mother, I am advising you and my heart is with you, please bear witness that there is no God but Allāh and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger." She yelled at him angrily, "By the stars, I will never enter your religion, to degrade my status and weaken my senses!"

One day, Mus’ab entered upon the Prophet and he was looking tattered and haggard. When the Prophet saw him, his eyes were filled with tears. He said, “I saw Mus'ab here, and there was no youth in Makkah more petted by his parents than he. Then he abandoned all that for the love of Allah and His Prophet!" Shortly before Hijrah after the first pledge of Al-Aqabah between the Prophet and envoys from Yathrib (now known as Al-Madinah), the Prophet commissioned Mus’ab as his first ambassador to propagate Islām in Yathrib. Mus’ab took this herculean task with utmost sincerity and unabated vigor.

At the time he arrived in Yathrib, only twelve people had embraced Islām. Few months later, owing to his great services, over seventy people traveled to meet the Prophet in Makkah for the second pledge of Al-Aqabah. At the battle of Uhud, the Prophet handed the flag to Mus’ab. Following the confusion that ensued after the Makkans staged a comeback against the faithful, Mus’ab saw an impending danger. The enemies were targeting the Prophet in order to kill him. Mus’ab jumped in front of them holding the flag and shouting, Allāhu Akbar! Allāhu Akbar!! As he advanced into the enemies fold, he kept fighting and striking them down.

Sadly, he met Ibn Qumay’ah who was a knight and he struck Mus’ab on his right arm and cut it off. Mus’ab held the flag with his left hand and was shouting, وَمَا مُحَمَّدٌ إِلَّا رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ “And Muhammad is but a Messenger. Messengers have passed away before him" Then, he struck him again on his left arm and cut it off. Still, Mus’ab held the flag in-between his arm and chest and was repeating that verse. Finally, he was struck with a spear with pierced through him, and he fell and died.

Allāhu Akbar!!!!! He sacrificed his life to protect the Messenger of Allāh!!!!

Concerning Mus’ab’s huge sacrifice for Islām, Al-Khabbaab bn al-Aratt said:

“We emigrated with the Apostle of Allāh for Allāh’s cause, seeking His pleasure. Our rewards are due with Allāh. Amongst us are those who left this world without reaping any of his worldly rewards. One of them was Mus'ab ibn 'Umayr, who was martyred on the Day of Uhud. He did not leave behind anything except a sheet of shredded woolen cloth. If we covered his feet with it, his head was uncovered, and if we covered his feet with it, his head was uncovered. The Prophet said to us, "Cover his head with it and put lemon grass over his feet."

When the Prophet saw his corpse in that pitiful state, he cried, “I saw you at Makkah, and there was not a more precious jewel, nor more distinguished one than you, and here you are bare-headed in a garment!"

ASCRIPTION TO THE SALAFI MANHAJ PART 4

The Necessity of the Title ‘Salafeeyah’ to Distinguish from Ahl-ulBida’

‘’Muhammad Nasir- Deen Al-Albaani (d.1420A.H) -Rahimullaah- said:‘Indeed all the sects, no matter how close or how far they are from the Book and the Sunnah, it is not possible for any one of them to say, ‘I am upon the Manhaj of the Salaf -due to an excellence from Allaah –Azza wa Jal – except for those who embody the Manhaj of  the Salaf as-Salih in their Dawa’, Manhaj and manners. 26] ‘’Ubayd bin Abdullaah al- Jabiree said: ‘So you do not find a   halafee (one who opposes Salafeeyah), especially from those who ascribe themselves to the modern day Dawa’ groups, except that he hates the ascription to Salafeeyah. Because
Salafeeyah is not just an ascription, rather Salafeeyah is singling out pure sincerity for Allaah and singling out following the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam.’[27]

Muhammad Nasir- Deen Al-Albaani (d.1420A.H) -Rahimullaah- was asked: Why don’t the Salafeeyoon leave these titles?’ ‘’Al-Albaani -Rahimullaah- answered: If you leave off the ascription to so and so Hizb (party), and to such and such Hizb, and leave off the ascription to such and such Madhab (school of thought) then at that time we can say we are Muslims. As for these names then they exemplify divisions in this Ummah due to current ideologies and biasness to Madhahib. Therefore, there is nothing wrong, if we say: we will gather all these ascriptions into one ascription and this is not possible for anyone from those people (those who follow Madhahib and Ahazaab[28]) – if they have knowledge of the truth that they can dispute whether that the Dawat-us-Salafeeyah is the true Dawa’ or not, and as proof for this we use the saying of Allaah Ta’ala:

وَ مَنْ يُشَاقِقِ الرَّسُولَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ الْهُدَى وَ يَتَّبِعْ غَيْرَ سَبِيلِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ نُوَلِّهِ مَا تَوَلَّى

 وَ نُصْلِهِ جَهَنَّمَ وَ سَاءَتْ مَصِيراً

<< And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers – We will give him what he has taken and drive him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination. >> [An-nisai 115]

Ascription to the Salafi Manhaj PART 1

From the Noble Qur’aan

Allaah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala said:

[Surah At-Tawbah 100]

<< And the first to embrace Islam of the Muhajirun (those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and
the Ansar (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhajiroon) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allaah is well pleased with them, as they are well pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the
supreme success.

‘’Muhammad Nasir- Deen Al-Albaani (d.1420A.H) -Rahimullaah- said:

‘Indeed this noble Ayaah is the foundation from where it is necessary for every Muslim to spring forward from to get to know the Dawa’ which some of the scholars, past and present have defined as the ‘Dawatus-Salafeeyah’.
Whoever truly wants to return to the Book and the Sunnah then it is necessary for that person to return to what the Companions of the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- were upon, and the Ta’abeen (the successors of the Companions) and the successors of the Ta’abeen.

Allaah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala said:

(وَمَن یُشَاقِقِ ٱلرَّسُولَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَیَّنَ لَهُ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَیَتَّبِعۡ غَیۡرَ سَبِیلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ نُوَلِّهِۦ مَا تَوَلَّىٰ وَنُصۡلِهِۦ جَهَنَّمَۖ وَسَاۤءَتۡ مَصِیرًا)
[Surah An-Nisa' 115]

<< And whoever opposes the Messenger  after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers We will give him what he has taken and drive him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination.

‘’Muhammad Nasir- Deen Al-Albaani (d.1420A.H) -Rahimullaah- commented saying:

‘Anybody who intends to be from the Firqat an-Najjeeyha (the saved sect) then it is necessary for that
person to ascribe himself to the actions of what these people were upon, the Companions and the
Ta’abeen and they are the Salaf as-Salih whom we follow.

This issue, which is the obligation of following the Salaf as-Salih is not an innovated, new matter but rather this is an obligatory matter which has been indicated to, rather it has been mentioned clearly for example in the statement of Allaah – Tabarak wa Ta’ala:

Indeed Allaah mentioned in this Ayaah a severe warning against opposing the Messenger -sallAllaahu alayhi
wa sallam- and contending with him then Allaah linked that by saying: << and follows other than the way of
the believers>> and there is no doubt that the believers here, are those about whom Allaah –Tabaraka wa
Ta’ala- warns the people from amongst the Muslims from opposing the path of the believers, there is no
doubt that the believers are those whom were mentioned in the previous Ayaah from the Muhajreen and
Ansaar, and those who followed them in goodness. Indeed Allaah was pleased with them and they were pleased with their Lord. That path of the believers is the scale and measurement which distinguishes between the Muslim who ascribes himself by speech to the Book and the Sunnah, and then perhaps he opposes the Book and the Sunnah by not returning to that perfection, which prevents opposing the Book and the Sunnah and that is none other than adhering to what the Companions of the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- were upon.
